Mom's Lasagne

The perennial favorite. Make ahead and freeze, or cook straight away. Great cold too. Great for potlucks, or for a friend who needs to not worry about cooking.

Instructions

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°

Brown ground beef, drain, set aside.
Step 3
In sauce pan combine tomato paste, water, red wine, olive oil, and sauce mix. Stri well until boils. Turn down heat to simmer. Add ground beef. Simmer 30 minutes. Stirring every 5-10 minutes.
Step 4
Cook noodles according to box instructions. Slightly al dente. Drain and rinse well. You only need 9 whole noodles. So you might not need the whole box.
Step 5
In glass 9x14 baking dish, make 3 layers. 3 Noodles, 1/3 ricotta, 1/3 sauce, 2oz mozzarella slice. Repeat.
Step 6
Cook in 350° oven for 20 to 40 min depending on oven.
Step 7
Let sit for 10 minutes before cutting. 12 servings.
