Ingredients

¼ cupolive oil
2 Tbspminced garlic
4 cupsveggies
chopped, green onions, mushrooms, and green bell peppers
1 cupred wine
cabernet or merlot
2 x 10 ozcan tomato sauce
i used 2 - 105 oz cans
56 ozcrushed tomatoes
56 oztomato puree
112 ozwater
8 oztomato paste
2 teaspooncrushed red pepper flakes
1 tablespoonoregano
1 tablespoonbasil
¼ cupgarlic powder
2 tablespoonssugar
4leaves basil
fresh, optional
Instructions
Step 1
In a large stockpot heat the pan on med heat. When the pan is hot add the olive oil and the garlic and chopped vegetables quickly. Don't let the garlic burn. Next add the wine. Let simmer for 5 minutes and add the tomatoes, water and paste. Stir to combine and add all the rest of the ingredients. Turn the temp to med/low and cover partially and let simmer.
