For the Cake
For the Lemon Buttercream Frosting

Step 1
Follow your Vanilla cake mix instructions to make the vanilla cake batter plus the ingredients you need according to your vanilla cake batter
Vanilla Cake Mix

Add the Lemon juice to your vanilla cake batter

Coat your cup of blueberries in the flour. This will ensure it doesn't sink in the batter

Add the floured blueberries to the vanilla cake batter and fold it in

Separate the Vanilla cake batter between 2 cake tins

Put into the oven according to your vanilla cake mix instructions

Once ready, allow to cool completely before adding the Lemon frosting.
For the Lemon Buttercream Frosting

Cream butter, lemon juice, strawberry essence and lemon zest together
Strawberry Essence1 Tablespoon
butter½ cup
lemon zest½ teaspoon
lemon juice2 tablespoons

Gradually add the icing sugar and mix together until creamy and smooth

Lather the first layer of cake in the frosting
Step 11
Put the second cake layer on top and spread the lemon buttercream on top and all the way round

Decorate with blueberries and edible flowers (optional)
