Jugo de Canela y Naranja
My mom often makes this cinnamon-infused orange juice for parties.
While it’s simmering, the whole house smells amazing. You can set out a pitcher of it for guests, and they can drink it on its own or add a nip of alcohol.

Ingredients
6 servings
3 cupswater
3cinnamon sticks
4 ½ cupsnavel oranges juice
fresh, plus orange twists for garnish, optional
¼ cupfresh lime juice
Instructions
Step 1
In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine the water and cinnamon sticks and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes. Then remove from the heat and let cool. Remove and discard the cinnamon sticks. Stir the orange juice and lime juice into the cinnamon water.
Step 2
Store the juice in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. When ready to serve, pour into individual glasses and garnish each with an orange twist, if desired.
Step 3
TIP Boil additional cinnamon sticks and use the cinnamon water to clean your kitchen, including wood. It works because cinnamon is a disinfectant. I learned about this when I went to South America and wondered why the shops smelled so good. The lady explained that she cleaned the fl oors with cinnamon water
