Step 1
Add oil to a heated pan, caramelize the onion and remove to a camp oven. Cut meat into chunks, remove any gristle and majority of fat then caramelise and transfer to the camp oven. Deglaze with warm water.
Step 2
Melt margarine in a small saucepan, add in flour and stir well. Once mixed add ¾ of the water from frying pan mixing constantly then add stock powder, salt and Worcestershire sauce, stir constantly until boiling then simmer until required consistency is achieved, then pour over meat and onion. Ensure meat is covered, if not stir in extra water until it is.
Step 3
Cook for 3 hours at around 120°C.
