Instructions
Step 1
Before starting, wash and dry all vegetables. Dice onion and green pepper into 1/4" pieces. Drain most of the liquid from the can of tomatoes.
Step 2
Heat a large pot or skillet over med-high heat. When hot add 1 tbsp oil and swirl to coat bottom of pan. Add ground beef and brown, crumbling up the meat as it cooks. Drain and set aside.
Step 3
Return pot/skillet to heat and add 1 tbsp oil. Add onion and cook until fragrant, then add green pepper and mushrooms. When veggies are slightly soft add garlic and Italian seasoning. Stir to coat veggies. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 4
Add canned tomatoes and stir to combine all vegs. Next add pasta sauce and tomato soup, broth concentrate and worcestershire. Stir to mix well.
Step 5
Return ground beef to pot with sauce and mix. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Bring to slight boil, then reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 mins.
Step 6
Meanwhile cook preferred pasta according to package directions. If you like a a saucy-er sauce reserve 1/2 cup pasta water before draining and add to pot with meat sauce.
Step 7
Serve sauce over your favourite al dente pasta.
