Pickle Flavored Grilled Cheese

4 steps
Prep:3minCook:10min
This is really one of those "don't knock it till you try it" recipes. If you like pickles, you will love this! This quick simple recipe marries the buttery, melty, cheesiness of grilled cheese with the flavor of a tangy dill pickle mustard spread. This is definitely a comfort food. I hope it brings you as much joy as it brings to me!

Instructions

Step 1
Spread butter as needed onto one side of each slice of bread. (The bread doesn't have to be the same as listed, that'sjust my recommendation/preference) *You can also spread mayo as needed to help crisp the bread using the procedure for spreading butter just stated above* After bread is throughly spread with butter place both slices of bread butter side down onto a pan at low to medium heat, depending on desired crispness.
Step 2
On only one of the slices of bread places slice or slices of cheese on top of the bread. Use as much cheese as desired. Use any cheese or mix your favorite cheeses (Colby or cheddar is my preference/recommendation).
Step 3
Three is optional. You can take the slice of bread with no cheese and spread a desired amount of pickle mustard (does not have to be amount listed. This is a rough estimate of what I used for mine) onto it and close the sandwich, or you can save the mustard till the end as treat it like a dipping sauce. *I recommend this for the first try so you still have the plain grilled cheese if you feel it's not for you* At this point you can then place the other slice of bread butter side up facing you, and unbuttered side on top of bread topped with cheese.
Step 4
Turnover the grilled cheese alternating crisping and browning sides till desired cook and melt of cheese is achieved. Serve while still warm of the pan and you're are done!
