I used caramelized bananas, pecans, coconut and a little bit of caramel ice cream topping. I recommend letting the bananas sit in the pudding for at least 10-20 minutes to let the pudding thicken up, otherwise it's very thin and runny. 10/10

Is that 20 minutes for the bananas to thicken the pudding on top of the 4 hours chill time the recipe calls for?

Yes. My husband ate his right away and said it was very runny. By the time I got to mine, about 20 minutes later, it was much thicker. I've used a similar base before and raw mashed banana goes in the before chilling, and it's much thicker too. Banana inside and on top seems like too much though.
