Cooking for the in-laws so under my own pressure to get it out and on the table I failed to photograph it.
I added a teaspoon of bovril to the slow cooker mix and had 4 hours to get it ready, instructions gave 3 and 5 hour cooking instructions so it got 3 hours at low and 1 hour at max. Beef was lovely and tender, pink but not bloody and really tasty. When making again I would add all wet ingredients to the slow cooker and mix properly before adding the beef as the cornflour hadn’t properly dissolved when I removed the jus/sauce/gravy to reduce to make into gravy. Will 100% be making this again. Served 4 adults and 1 child with a shed load of veg, means there’s leftovers for lunch tomorrow.
