The recipe never says whether or not to pre-cook the sweet potatoes, so we shredded them. These are glorified hashbrowns. They're ok at best. Even cooked and mashed, they would be a glorified potato pancake. This is not a dinner item, nor a stand alone item. It's a side dish and a breakfast item. 🙄
