Pasta Salad

This is a basic pasta salad recipe. You can choose to make it with any salad ingredients you like, any protein you like, any pasta shape you like and any dressing that you like. The ingredients here are just suggestions. Make it how you would like it.

Instructions

Step 1
Half fill a saucepan with water. Put on full heat and bring to the boil.
Step 2
When boiling, add ½ teaspoon salt, put in the pasta, stir and reduce heat to mid heat. Cook for 10 – 12 mins until Al dente (soft to the bite.)
Step 3
Drain the pasta in a colander in the sink and rinse under cold water until the pasta is cold. Place in your container
Step 4
Use a white chopping board. Prepare and chop all your vegetables (and protein if appropriate) into bite size pieces.
Step 5
Mix the pasta with the mayonnaise or dressing. Layer at the bottom of your dish.
Step 6
Top with your salad
Step 7
Add your protein
