Apple Crumble Cake

I made it up as I went so forgive me if the recipe is a bit wonky. Basically I made a standard 8oz sponge with added spices, cooked up the apples a bit with brown sugar and cooled them in a lined tin while making the crumble mix. Then boshed it all together. It baked for between 30-40 mins at 170 but it was in the oven for 10 minutes at 200 before I noticed! Enjoy!

Instructions

Step 1
Cream 9oz butter and 6oz caster sugar with 2 oz brown sugar Add 9oz of eggs slowly Fold in 8oz flour, 1tsp each of spices, plus the baking powder Make crumble mix by rubbing 4oz butter into 8oz flour and adding 8oz total sugar
Step 2
Peel and chop apples, cook in pan with 4oz brown sugar and some spices Place apples in lined baking pan or cake tin
Step 3
Smooth cake batter over apples and spread over crumble mix
Step 4
Bake at 170C for 40 mins approx
