Instructions
Step 1
In a small saucepan, heat the almond milk over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling.

In a separate bowl, mix the cocoa powder and sweetener together.
Step 3
Gradually whisk the cocoa-sweetener mixture into the hot almond milk until it's well combined and smooth.
Step 4
Continue to cook and stir the mixture for a few more minutes until it's heated through and well blended.
Step 5
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Step 6
Pour the low-calorie hot chocolate into mugs.
Step 7
Top with a small amount of vegan whipped cream or a few marshmallows if desired.
