Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°
Step 2
Brush pear halves with olive oil and place cut side up on baking sheet.
Step 3
Bake pears for 20 minutes, or until pears are tender but not mushy.
Step 4
Remove pears from the oven. Sprinkle each pear half with crumbled blue cheese and chopped walnuts.
Step 5
Drizzle honey over warm pear halves. Sprinkle with fresh ground black pepper and garnish with fresh thyme (if using).
Step 6
Serve immediately as a dessert or a sweet and savory appetizer.
