Instructions

Step 1
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a jelly roll pan with parchment paper.
Step 2
Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form. In another bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar until pale. Blend in vanilla.
Step 3
Sift flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. Fold into the yolk mixture. Gently fold in the egg whites.
Step 4
Spread batter evenly in prepared pan. Bake for 12-15 minutes.
Step 5
Immediately turn out onto a sugar-dusted towel. Roll up with the towel from the short end and let cool.
Step 6
Unroll, remove the towel, spread whipped cream and drizzle toffee sauce. Re-roll without the towel.
Step 7
Chill before serving, drizzled with more toffee sauce.
