Instructions
Step 1
Soak cracked wheat in water for 45 minutes till soft. Squeeze out water and add to ground chuck. Grade 1/2 medium onion and add to meat. Add salt and pepper. Mix throughly. There are two ways to cook. Make into 4 or 5 patties and fry 5 minutes on each side in 1/2 inch of oil. Or put into loaf pan and bake in oven for 45 minutes.
Notes: use ground chuck not regular hamburger. The cracked wheat is hard to find. You can use tabouli wheat. Usually in the vegetable section at the store.
