Instructions
Step 1
Melt butter over a medium heat
Step 2
Add flour and stir for a minute
Step 3
Add the cream and stir for about 2 minutes, until it begins to bubble slightly
Step 4
Add the lemon juice, garlic, Italian seasoning, chili flakes, salt and pepper. Stir for 2-3 minutes until it begins to thicken. If it bubbles too much, turn the heat down slightly
Step 5
Add the shrimp and cook for about 3 minutes being careful not to overcook them (this will depend on the size of shrimp you use, small shrimp don’t need long AT ALL)
Step 6
Add the kale, toss and cook until wilted. About a minute then turn the heat off if you’re using a cast iron, if not, then the heat to a simmer
Step 7
Add your pasta to the dish, being sure to reserve some pasta water when straining the pasta
Step 8
Add the parmesan cheese and stir the dish until a luscious sauce forms. Add pasta water if the sauce is too thick
Step 9
Serve immediately and enjoy!
