Instructions
Step 1
Steam carrots. Reserve 1/2 C of liquid for broth.
Step 2
Sauté onions and celery in butter until tender.
Step 3
Add fresh herbs, and a pinch of salt. Add steamed carrots. Add peas and green beans. Sautéed everything a few minutes until done.
Step 4
Add entire mixture to oven-safe dish, like a casserole pan. Add the chicken, reserving the liquid if you are using canned chicken.
Step 5
Make broth: 1. Combine 1/2 cup liquid from steaming carrots, some liquid from canned chicken (2 cups of liquid in total).
2. Melt 2-3 T butter in a pan. Add equal parts flour, and combine to form a roux.
3. Add 2 cups liquid
4. Cook over medium high heat until steaming.
5. Season with salt, pepper, cayenne, and 1/2 tsp oregano and herbs of choice
6. Cook on med-high until thickened.
Step 6
When broth is ready add to the chicken and veggies in casserole dish. Place in oven and heat until hot. Top with biscuits.
