Ingredients

tortilla chips
Original Restaurant Style, or or other restaurant style thicker chips
1 poundground beef
Seasoning for ground beef
1 teaspoonkosher salt
½ teaspoonblack pepper
½ tspchili powder
½ tspground cumin
¼ tspgarlic powder
½ tspsmoked paprika
½ teaspoonoregano
¼ tsponion powder

Instructions
Step 1
1. Brown the meat and seasonings. Spoon out of the pan into a bowl, leaving the fat behind.
Step 2
2. Grate the cheese (don't use pre grated cheese, it won't melt right).
Step 3
Preheat the broiler and put the rack 6 inches from the heat element.
Step 4
Line a sheet pan with foil. Place a generous layer of tortilla chips in the pan. Sprinkle with the meat, evenly. Then sprinkle with the cheeses.
Step 5
Broil 3 to 5 minutes, watching carefully, until cheese is melted and chips are hot and getting crispy.
Step 6
Add desired toppings and serve.
