Ingredients

For the marinade
12skinless boneless chicken thighs
1 cupyoghurt
1 ½ tablespoonsgarlic
minced
1 ½ tablespoonsginger
minced
2 Tbspgaram masala
1 Tbspcumin
1 teaspoontumeric
1 Tbspchilli powder
1 Tbspsalt
For the sauce
Instructions
Step 1
Marinade the chicken, cover and leave for at least one hour or overnight
Step 2
Add chicken to a hot pan in batches and cook until colour has formed. Don't overcrowd. Place into a bowl and keep warm
Step 3
Add butter to the same pan and add onions once melted. Cook for 3 or 4 mins before adding ginger and garlic
Step 4
Add all spices listed apart from chilli powder and mix well for a minute. Use a wooden spoon if there is sticking at the bottom
Step 5
After a minute add your chopped tomatoes, chilli powder and salt and let simmer for 10-15 mins. Stirring regularly
Step 6
Add the chicken back to the pot and let cook for a further 10 minutes which allows u to cook your rice and prepare your naan bread
Step 7
Add water if necessary and red food colouring dye to make it look like they have it in your local. Enjoy!
