Instructions

Step 1
Cook the onions and garlic in a little oil to soften them and release their flavours.
Step 2
Add the mince and immediately start seperating it with your wooden spoon.
Step 3
Add the beef stock cube and your seasoning.
Step 4
Stir until the beef is browned.
Step 5
Add a splash of vinegar (if you're adding vinegar).
Step 6
Once the veg is softened and the meat is browned, add your chopped tomatoes and passata, then stir it through.
Step 7
Add your grated veg (if you're adding it) and stir it through.
Step 8
Cook with the lid on, stirring every 10 minutes or so, for approximately 90 mins

You can take the lid off to thicken the sauce, as the escaping steam and regular stirring will aid in allowing the water to escape. Just be careful nothing burns to the bottom.
Step 10
Serve with pasta or on a baked potato!
