Instructions
Step 1
Bring a pot of water to boil. Trim ends off green beans, then add to the water. Cook 3 minutes, then drain and run under cold water.
Step 2
Finely chop fresh rosemary. In a small bowl, combine 4 ½ tbsp butter, fresh rosemary, chili powder, salt and pepper. Pat strip steak dry, then rub on all sides with herb butter.
Step 3
In a heavy skillet over medium heat, add strip steak. Cook 5 minutes, then flip and cook 4 to 5 minutes more, or until done to your preference.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat remaining 2 ¼ tbsp butter in a separate skillet over medium heat. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds, then add green beans and red pepper flakes. Saute until hot, about 3 minutes. Season with salt, pepper and additional red pepper flakes to taste.
Step 5
Enjoy steak with green beans.
