Instructions
Step 1
Pull the steak from the refrigerator approximately about 30 minutes before you plan to start cooking it and place it on a cutting board. Pat both sides dry with a paper towel.
Step 2
Lightly brush or spray both sides of the steak with some avocado oil.
Step 3
Sprinkle 2 teaspoons of the seasoning on each side of the steak.
Step 4
Add the oil to a cast iron pan and heat for 2 minutes over high heat. Add the steak to the pan and set a timer for 3 minutes (for medium rare.)
Step 5
Flip the steak over and turn the heat to medium-high. Add the butter and baste a few times once it melts. Cook for another 3 minutes.
Step 6
Transfer the steak to a cutting board or plate and tent aluminum foil over the top. After 10 mins, slice and serve.
