This perfectly round pillowy snack is the king of Nigerian small chops(finger foods). Puff puff is one snack no one can say no to so if you’re on a diet, you might want to make this on your cheat day because self control just left the building.

Instructions

Step 1
In a large bowl, add flour, milk, sugar, salt, nutmeg, yeast and water
Step 2
Mix until well combined and continue mixing for about 5 to 8 minutes until mixture is elastic and stretchy.
Step 3
Add the remaining water to loosen the mixture and mix until smooth.
Step 4
Cover with a clean kitchen cloth or cling film and store in a warm place (warm turned off oven or microwave) until doubled in size. This should take about 40 minutes to 1 hour.
Step 5
After about 30 minutes, fill a deep pan or pot(halfway) with frying oil, and start heating it up on medium heat.
Step 6
Take your batter out (it should have doubled) ,deflate batter, use hand to scoop by squeeze between your thumb and index finger into hot oil.
Step 7
Fry on medium heat until golden brown.
