Instructions

Step 1
Heat the oil in a high-sided saucepan over a medium heat, add the onion, celery and carrots and fry gently for 10 minutes.
Step 2
Add the garlic, beans, chestnuts and herbs and stir for a minute.
Step 3
Add the stock cube and boiling water. Season, cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Remove from the heat, remove the bay leaf and blitz until smooth with a stick blender.
Step 5
Serve with Parmesan.
