Instructions

Fried Chicken Karaage

Step 1
Combine soy sauce, mirin, and sugar into a bowl. Place chicken thighs in and allow to marinade for at least one hour

After marinated, coat in cake flour then deep fry in 350 Fahrenheit oil for 6-8 minutes

Fried Rice

Step 3
Add oil into a pan on medium high heat. Cook pork belly until crispy then remove
Step 4
Add onions, garlic, and ginger in and saute for 30 seconds

Add carrots and saute for 1 minute
Step 6
Add white rice, soy sauce, salt, black pepper, sugar, msg, rice wine vinegar. Saute for 1 minute

Add pork belly back and combine

Kim Chi Fried Rice

Step 8
Add oil into a pan on medium high heat. Cook pork belly until crispy then remove

Add onions, garlic, and ginger in and saute for 30 seconds

Add kimchi and saute for 1 minute

Add white rice, kimchi liquid, soy sauce, black pepper, sugar, msg, rice wine vinegar. Saute for 1 minute

Add pork belly back and combine

Omelette

Step 13
Combine one egg with 1 tbsp condensed milk. Whisk thoroughly

Preheat pan on medium heat and add oil
Step 15
Pour egg mixture in and cover with a lid. Let it cook untouched for 1-2 minutes

Repeat for second omelette

Assembly

Step 17
Place fried rice into a rice bowl. Even out the top then flip over onto a plate to create mounds

Repeat for kim chi fried rice
Step 19
Gently envelop egg over each fried rice and press down sides

Top with umeboshi and wasabi
Step 21
Place karaage in front and enjoy!
