Ken's Taco Sauce
This is an improvement on Taco Bell hot sauce. It's not a copy cat, more of a riff. Cut back on the chilli powder and cayanne to reduce heat levels. It's not that spicy, but it's not mild either.

Instructions
Step 1
In a sauce pan, combine water and cornstarch. Whisk. This will thicken your taco sauce once brought to a boil.
Step 2
Add tomato paste and whisk until fully dissolved.
Step 3
Add all spices and whisk to combine. Now bring the sauce to a boil.
Step 4
Allow to boil for five minutes, stirring occasionally. Taste and check for salt levels, adjust if needed. At this point the sauce should coat the back of a spoon.
Step 5
Cut the heat and allow to cool completely on the stove top. As it cools, the sauce will thicken slightly, so don't worry if it appears to be a little thin.
Step 6
Jar and refrigerate.
