Preheat over to 350 F

Heat a 4quart cast iron cocotte or such oven over medium-high heat. Add just enough oil to coat bottom, then add bacon. Cook until fat is rendered and bacon is lightly browned about 4 minutes. Transfer to dish

Add onion, garlic, bay leaf, and chile flake to the cocotte and cook, stirring until the onion is tender but not browned, about 3 minutes. Add tomatoes and a tsp of oil and cook, stirring and scraping down the sides of the pan, for about 4 minutes. The tomatoes should be sizzling steadily. Stir in the linguiça and reserved bacon along with another tsp of oil, occasionally stirring, until heated through about 2 minutes. Stir in peas, season with salt, and discard the bay leaf.
Step 4
make four little “nests”in the mixture, spacing them a few inches apart break eggs into nets and bake until eggs are set about 8 minutes
