Instructions

Step 1
Chop the chives and keep aside.

Boil the shrimps in hot salty water for five minutes. After this time, strain the shrimps. Remove the carapace of 3/4 of the shrimps and keep aside. Put the 1/4 of the shrimps in a bowl since they will be necessary for decoration.

Step 3
Warm up some olive oil in a pan and ease down the shrimps. Cook the shrimps for five minutes, then add a bit of salt and the lemon juice. Stir for another minute and then switch off the stove.

While the shrimps are still hot, put them into a food processor. Add also salt, pepper, paprika, saffron, tomato paste and heavy cream. Mix the ingredients for a minutes to have a nice textured sauce.

Take a pan and heat the sauce at medium heat. In the meantime, proceed boiling the gnocchi.
Step 6
Put a pot on the stove with some water in it. When is boiling add the salt and the gnocchi. When the gnocchi emerge on the surface of the water, stir with a slotted spoon and ease them down into the sauce. Stir gently for a minute before serving.

While the water you used to boil the gnocchi is still hot, ease down the left shrimps so they can warm up. After a minute, stir and use them to decorate your dish with the chieves.
