Delicious, healthy snack! I love these when I need a sugar kick, but without any processed sugar. Be warned though, these are addictive! And you really shouldn’t be eating more than a small handful (1 apple).

Instructions
Step 1
Fill a bowl with 1 litre of water and stir through 1/2 teaspoon of citric acid. Alternatively use the juice of 1 lemon if you don’t have citric acid. Both will work.
Step 2
Wash the apples.
Step 3
Cut the apples in quarters and core them.
Step 4
Then slice the apple quarters to roughly 1/2 cm at widest edge.
Step 5
Place the apple slices into the citric acid water. This will prevent them from oxidising (going brown).
Step 6
Once you’ve cut all the apples, lay them on the trays.
Step 7
Using your dehydrator set on 60 C (140 F), dry the slices for 10 hours (chewy) or 14 hours (crunchy).
Step 8
Dust a little cinnamon over them. Store in airtight containers.
