0.5 TablespoonMirim
4 cupswater
Garlic oil
to taste
1 cuprice
cooked
5 TablespoonsCarrot
Minced
2 stalksAsian Chives
optional
2 stalkSpring Onion

Seasoning Sauce
Instructions
Chicken Prepping
Step 1
Prepare the chicken breasts by pouring the mirim over it and coating it evenly. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes.
Making Chicken Broth
Step 2
Add the chicken breasts to a pot and together with the water. Bring to a boil over high heat.
Step 3
When it boils, reduce the heat to medium and boil for 5 more minutes.
Step 4
Turn off the heat and take out the chicken breasts. Once they’re cooled down, shred them into bite-sized pieces.
Prep Veggies & Rice
Step 5
Finely dice the carrot and cut the chives and spring onion into small rings.
Make Porridge
Step 6
Bring the broth back to a boil and set to medium heat. Add the carrots and rice and boil for 10 minutes.
Step 7
Add the shredded chicken, chives and spring onion.
Step 8
Season with salt, pepper, sesame oil and garlic oil and let it boil for another 5 minutes.
Step 9
It’s done if it’s slightly thick and sticky. If it’s slightly bland, add some salt or soy sauce.
