Step 1
Heat a large pot on medium heat. Add coconut oil, rice, sugar, and salt, and stir gently until the oil is melted.
Step 2
Add coconut milk and water and stir. Cover. Allow mixture to come to a boil.
Step 3
Stir, cover, and lower heat to the lowest setting. Fluff the rice after 10 minutes. If all moisture has been absorbed and the rice is not tender, add another ½ cup of coconut milk and water, cover, and cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
