Step 1
Clean lentils in water and drain

Place cleaned lentils into a bowl with fresh water and leave to soak for 1 hour

Blend half of the red lentils until it forms a smooth paste

Blend the second half of the lentils, this time into a more course blend

Add 1/2 cup of red lentil paste and 1/2 cup broken red lentils to a bowl with all other ingredients and combine by hand. Add salt to taste

Optionally add garlic ginger paste to combined mix

Form paste into small balls and deep fry until golden brown
