Marya’s Masala Chai
The goal is a medium deep brown color, a smooth/airy texture, and a mildly spiced taste! But of course, tweak to your preferences. Add more/less/different spices, different teas, boil or steep longer for more intense flavor, different sweeteners like honey, more/less milk, etc. etc. etc.

Instructions
Step 1
1. Warm/toast hard spices in pan on stovetop for 30ish seconds
Step 2
2. Add water, ginger, and tea to pan
Step 3
3. Bring to boil for several minutes, then reduce to simmer
Step 4
4. Add milk and bring to boil again for several minutes
Step 5
5. Strain into cup, add sugar and stir
Step 6
6. Aerate how you prefer (I used a little hand held milk frother)
