Cheat's one-pot cassoulet
This is comfort food from France. Beans, like lentils, are a great source of fiber and have even been found to improve quality of sleep. Serve steaming hot with lots of green leafy vegetables.

Step 2
Add the onion and bacon to the pan and cooked for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring regularly until golden.
Step 3
Cut the sausages in half and return them to the pan, and add the beans tomatoes and herbs. Stir in 150 mL of water and bring to a gentle simmer. Cover loosely and cook for 18 to 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add an extra splash of water if the sauce thickens too much.
