The dough for this is so simple to make and you don’t even need any fancy tools. Just a bowl and a spatula . Decorate them anyway you like - if there are any left to decorate because once you smell them it’s hard to resist a nibble !

Step 1
In a bowl add in the butter then use a spatula to cream it . Add the sugar and eggs and give it a good mix with the spatula

In a bowl mix the flour baking powder and salt then sift it all into the wet ingredients and mix until it forms a dough. Separate the dough in half then add ground almonds and almond extract to one half of the dough . Wrap in plastic wrap then refrigerate 40 minutes to stiffen slightly.

Step 3
Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface then cut the shapes you want and bake at 180 c for around 10-12 minutes . After dust with powder sugar or add colors and decorate however you like
