Instructions

Step 1
Fill a large sauce pan 3/4 with water and season with salt (2 teaspoons. Bring to a boil and cook pasta until al dente: Reserve 1½ cups of pasta water before draining pasta.
Step 2
In a large skillet using medium heat melt 2 Tablespoons butter. Add black pepper and cook for 1 minute.
Step 3
Add half of the reserved pasta water (3/4 cup) and bring to a simmer. Reduce heat to low and add in pasta and remaining butter, toss with tongs.
Step 4
Remove skillet from heat and add the parmesan cheese tossing with tongs. If pasta is too dry, add some of the remaining pasta water.
Step 5
Serve on plates.
