Grandma’s Homemade Gnocchi

Instructions
Step 1
Boil potatoes in salted water until tender. Then drain and set aside to cool.
Step 2
Once cool, mash with fork into small pieces. Combine potatoes with flour, egg and salt until just combined.
Step 3
Place dough onto lightly floured surface. Cut into 3 portions. Gently roll out 1 portion at a time into a long log (about 3/4 in thick). Cut 3/4 pieces out of log. Press each piece with prongs of fork to “decorate.”
Step 4
Place each piece in pot of salted boiling water to cook. Once they float to the top, they are finished. Remove immediately. Season to taste.
