Instructions
Step 1
Half fill a large saucepan with water. Put it on the hob on the highest heat. Add a little salt
Step 2
When boiling, add the pasta and cook until Al Dente (usually 10 – 12 mins)
Step 3
Whilst the pasta is cooking; on a white chopping board, dice your onion and garlic, (put any rubbish in a bowl whilst you’re working.)
Step 4
When the pasta is Al Dente (soft), drain the pasta in a colander over the sink to remove the water
Step 5
Add a tablespoon of oil in a frying pan. Turn onto a medium heat. Add the onion. Sweat for 3 mins, then add the garlic
Step 6
Add the canned tomatoes and tomato puree. Add a little water, if necessary, salt and pepper and herbs
Step 7
Leave on a low heat for as long as possible
Step 8
Mix the pasta and tomato sauce together
