Instructions

Step 1
Put flour in a large bowl and make a well in the middle

Add 50ml warm water into the well and add the yeast to the water

Mix the water and yeast a little and leave for 5 mins

Add remaining 350ml warm water and salt
Step 5
Stir all the ingredients together
Step 6
Cover the bowl with cling film and leave in a warm place for 30 mins

Stir again to add air
Step 8
Recover and leave for 30 mins

Heat oven to 220 degrees
Step 10
Put large saucepan in oven to heat up
Step 11
Sprinkle flour on the work surface and turn the bread onto it
Step 12
Fold ends into the middle a few times to create a round dough
Step 13
Take the saucepan out of the oven. Line it with greaseproof paper
Step 14
Put the dough ball in the pan
Step 15
Cook with lid on for 30 mins
Step 16
Remove lid and cook for further 15 mins
Step 17
Cool on wire rack
