The Crispy Meatballs
250gmeatballs
frikadellen
2eggs
150gcornflour
1 tspsalt
1 tspfive spice
1 tspsmoked paprika
½ tspwhite pepper
2lsunflower oil
for frying
The Rest
1 Tbspoil
1red pepper
1white onion
4cloves garlic
150mlsweet chilli sauce
2 Tbspsoy sauce
1 Tbsprice wine vinegar
To Garnish
Instructions
The Crispy Meatballs
Step 1
Heat the sunflower oil in a deep dish pan to 180C
Thermometer
Step 2
Mix the cornflour with the salt and spices in one bowl and whisk the egg in another
Whisk
Step 3
Drop the meatballs in the flour, then into the egg, and back into the flour, ensuring it is fully coated every time.
Step 4
Once the oil is very hot (180C), drop in. The meatballs and fry for 3 minutes.
The Rest
Step 5
Cut the onion and pepper into thin strips and stir fry in a tbsp oil for 2 minutes.
Knife
Step 6
Thinly slice your garlic and fry for 1 minute.
Step 7
Mix the sauces and vinegar and add this to the pan with the crispy meatballs
Step 8
Stir fry for 1 minute to coat the meatballs
Step 9
Serve in a bowl. Top with the sesame seeds and spring onion
