Instructions

OVEN

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 170°C.
Step 2
Spray a lidded ovenproof frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, turning halfway to ensure an even colour.

Dissolve the stock cube in the boiling water. Add the black pepper, carrots, onions, beef stock, stock pot and Henderson's Relish to the pan.

Stir the baked beans into the pan, cover with a lid and put in the oven for 3 hours.

Boil potatoes and when cooked, cut into slices.

Top sliced potatoes on stew and return to oven for 30mins.

Season to taste with salt and black pepper and serve.

SLOW COOKER (6hr 30min)

Spray a frying pan with low calorie cooking spray and cook the beef for 2-3 minutes, turning halfway to ensure an even colour.

Transfer the browned beef to the slow cooker and add black pepper, carrots, onions, potatoes, beef stock, stock pot and Henderson's Relish.

Stir the baked beans into the slow cooker, cover with the lid and cook on high for 4.5 hours. Remove the lid and cook for a further 1.5-2 hours.
Step 11
Season to taste with salt and black pepper and serve.
