Instructions
Step 1
Salt, pepper, onion powder and brown the beef
If you like, add some oregano as the beef is browning
Step 2
When meat is browned, add 1 12oz can tomato paste, plus at least 3 cans of water. (May need to add more water later.) Stir together.
Step 3
Optional- add a can of diced or stewed tomatoes
Step 4
Add 1 or 2 cans of pinto beans (I don't like chili or kidney beans very much, which many cooks use in their recipes)
Step 5
Add 2 tablespoons of chili powder
Step 6
Add cumin
I can't tell you the exact measurement of this but I would say a good-sized sprinkle on top of the mixture. (Personal preference--grandmommy doesn't care for a lot of cumin, she does not even add a measured tablespoon worth.)
Step 7
Add a tablespoon of worcestershire sauce
Step 8
If needed, add water to adjust thickness
Step 9
Simmer/bubble on low temp. Enjoy!
Step 10
If you like, pour over macaroni, cheddar cheese, sour cream
