Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 Fahrenheit.
Step 2
In a bowl, combine breadcrumbs, garlic powder, and italian seasoning.
Step 3
Set up an additional two bowls with one holding the flour and one holding the eggs.
Step 4
Season chicken with salt and pepper.
Step 5
Cover chicken in flour, then eggs and then the breadcrumb mixture.
Step 6
Add oil to pan and heat.
Step 7
Cook chicken for 1 - 2 minutes each side.
Step 8
Cover bottom of baking dish with marinara sauce.
Step 9
Place chicken in the sauce, and cover the chicken in the rest of the marinara sauce.
Step 10
Cover chicken with parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
Step 11
Cover chicken in foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Step 12
Raise heat to 425 Fahrenheit. Remove foil and cook for an additional 10 mins.
Step 13
Garnish with basil.
Step 14
Serve over pasta. Add any (warm) marinara sauce to pasta.
