I make the Meatballs and the Classic Marinara at the same time I generally double or triple the recipe and freeze for future use. if you love garlic feel free to add more.

Instructions

Step 1
Soak the bread in 1 cup of milk for 5 minutes, then squeeze dry.
Step 2
In a large mixing bowl, combine the soaked bread, the beaten egg and mix in the other ingredients.

Knead the mixture with both hands. Keep at it until all the ingredients are well blended and the mixture is smooth and fluffy.

Shape into 2-in. balls or larger if you like

Option 1 -If you are making the Marinara at the same time- Place into Marinara Sauce to cook - adds flavor to the Marinara but the meatballs are dryer and grey in color OR Cook the meatballs completely in a pan, you can add the juice from the meatballs to the marinara if you are making it at the same time

Bake, uncovered, at 400° for 20-25 minutes or until the meatballs are no longer pink; drain. In a large saucepan, heat marinara sauce; add the meatballs and heat through.
