Instructions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F and butter a 9-inch loaf pan.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Step 3
Add the ripe bananas to the butter and sugar mixture and mix until well combined.
Step 4
Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Step 5
Stir in the milk and vanilla extract.
Step 6
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, and nutmeg to make a flour mixture.
Step 7
Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet banana mixture, mixing until fully combined.
Step 8
Fold or mix in the chopped walnuts and chocolate chips.
Step 9
Pour the batter into the buttered loaf pan.
Step 10
Bake for approximately 1 hour, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the bread comes out clean.
Step 11
If the bread is browning too much on top, cover it with a sheet of aluminum foil towards the end of the cooking time.
Step 12
Once done, remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy!
