Creamy Cajun Shrimp Udon

Spicy take on creamy udon. It is a pretty hearty dish, but super good. You can use store bought cajun spice blend or make your own. If you want additional spice add some cayenne. Also ca. sub out the shrimp or something else if you prefer.

For the Shrimp
For the Cream Sauce
2 Tbspsalted butter
3cloves garlic
minced
1shallot
minced
2 Tbspcajun spice blend
8 ozheavy cream
1 Tbsplemon juice
1 Tbspparsley
minced for garnish
For the Cajun Spice Blend
Instructions
Step 1
1. Boil udon according to package instructions and strain
Step 2
2. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and cajun spice blend
Step 3
3. In a hot oiled pan sear shrimp on both sides until opaque
Step 4
4. Set aside
Step 5
5. In the same pan, lower heat and add butter, garlic, shallots, and cajun spice blend
Step 6
6. Sauté until fragrant
Step 7
7. Add in heavy cream, lemon juice, salt, pepper and reduce
Step 8
8. Add back in the udon and shrimp from earlier
Step 9
10. Plate and garnish with parsley
