Asian chicken wings
Chicken wings normally take up to 50 minutes in the oven, but by blanching them beforehand you save loads of cooking time.
This is the perfect snack for movie night or watching the rugby!

10 cmginger root
2garlic cloves
1red chilli
80mllime
juice of
1lime
zest of
2zest of oranges
45mlsoy sauce
15mlsesame oil

Instructions
Chicken Wings
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 210 °C. Fill a large saucepan with hot water and place over high heat. Add the salt, cover and bring to the boil.
Step 2
Add the chicken wings to the boiling water and cook, covered, for 5 minutes.
Step 3
In the meantime, combine the rest of the ingredients, except the sesame seeds, in the bowl of a food processor and process until finely chopped. Pour into a small saucepan and bring to the boil. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Step 4
Drain the chicken wings and pat dry with paper towel.
Step 5
Place the chicken wings in a roasting pan and pour over the sauce. Sprinkle over the sesame seeds and roast for 20 minutes until golden and crisp.

Combine dipping sauce ingredients in a small bowl
