Instructions
Step 1
Let the beans sit in water overnight. If possible 24 hours. Throw the water away or boil the beans in it then throw it away and add new water + the pealed whole onion.
Step 2
Boil water with beans on high and then lower temperature to lower medium, let it simmer for about 1 hour, +15 to 30 min, check if the beans are squishable. add water in the meantime if necessary. stir at least every 20 minutes to make sure the bottom of the pot won't burn.
Step 3
When the beans are almost done, take onion out with some of the water if there is extra if not add new but not too much. blend it and put it bad into the beans. stir
Step 4
Start adding seasonings one by one and stir, when you're at the end, turn off the stove.
