Instructions
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat and cook the onion until softened. Add the minced beef and cook until starting to brown, breaking up any lumps with the back of a wooden spoon. Add the garlic, carrot, celery and mushrooms and cook, stirring, for 5 minutes or until softened.
Step 2
Pour in the wine and bring to the boil. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer, uncovered, for 25–30 minutes or until thickened. See below for serving suggestions.

Serve with 1 cup of chopped green beans or mixed vegetables of your choice if you wish.
